Hello everyone I am so excited to partake on this mission trip to South Africa & EswaToni in 2022!! This is such an exciting journey God has me on and I am so glad you are taking the time to read this. Before I start telling you why I want to go on this mission trip and my story I want to do a quick introduction for those who don’t know me!

My name is Angelina Saiz I am 19 years old (gonna be 20 in June) and am from Owasso, Oklahoma! I am currently attending Tulsa Community College through their Tulsa Achieves program. After I graduate with my associate’s degree in Marketing I plan on attending either Oklahoma State University or The University of Oklahoma, but plans could change and the Lord could lead me differently. I’m really passionate about fashion and hope to work in the fashion industry one day because I love to make people feel good about themselves. I think what you wear is a big part of how you express yourself, which is why I plan on majoring in Marketing.

Okay now onto the good stuff!! You must be wondering why does she want to do this mission trip and how did she come to know Christ? Well, you came to the right page to find out! First, let’s start off with my journey with Christ, and then I will tell you why this mission trip is so important to me!

A very condensed story of my testimony: When I was little I never really grew up in a constant church-like atmosphere. I went to a Catholic Church with my grandparents quite a bit when I was little but I never really had a relationship with God. As I grew up I struggled in high school looking for my identity and worth in worldly/materialistic things. I never was fulfilled with any of it and I honestly felt like there was still so much more in life. Once Covid hit I had LOTS of time to reexamine my life and that’s how I started to closely grow in my relationship with Jesus, which is exactly what I was missing! I had a bible so I started reading it and I reached out to some old friends that I knew who were devoted followers of Jesus (Because if I am being honest if you start reading the bible and don’t have God’s spirit in you then you will feel so confused and lost…well at least I was!). This miraculous change didn’t happen overnight, it was constant obedience and patience that drew me closer with God. After being invited continuously to church and diving into God’s word I finally got the confidence to go with some friends and I loved it! In December I got baptized at a young adult service called ”The Creek” and it changed my life ever since. I now constantly try to pursue the Lord in any way I can and words can not express how much Jesus has really made an impact on my life.

Why I want to do this mission trip: I want to do this mission trip not only because it will help me grow in my walk with the Lord, but to help others that are in need and spread the gospel from across the globe! In Eswatini I will work alongside the Swazi staff to partake in feeding programs, agricultural projects, and leadership programs to help the next generation of Eswatini people. For South Africa I will work with a program called beats and books, which helps students grow in their ability to read and explore music & art. I will also partake in projects around the school that will help create a safe and welcoming environment for the students! Not only will I get to partake in these amazing projects and programs but I will get a chance to reach out to the people of Africa and teach them about Jesus!

I am sharing my story in hopes that you will partner with me to continue this path God has called me to. During this challenging season of what the world is going through right now, please know donating to my missions trip will not only help me reach my goal but most importantly it will help children, women, and men from across the world! Prayers for me and my team are just as welcomed! Thank you so much for reading my story and I hope you all can help me reach my goal.:)
